What I did yesterday to change my life for the better was visit Michael Bernard Loggins at Creativity Explored. We figured out that we’ve been friends for 6 years or more now and no matter how long it’s been since I’ve visited him, he always leaps out of his seat with a huge grin, shouts “Andrea!!!” and gives me the biggest squeeze.
He asked me how I was and I said, “I’ve had my ups and downs…” And he smiled and said, “It’s like that song by a lady called Esther Williams, “Everybody in the world’s got their ups and downs” and then he laughed out loud and high-fived me.
And somehow I felt better…
I always read your blog and am continuosly inspired by your ability to see the gifts and greatness each person has. It is such a beatiful way to live life and view the world. Thank you, it is truly and inspiration.
I do love a good high-five! Thanks for the wonderful writing and photos.
We all need that one person who can always put a smile on our faces and give us that High Five!
Love the photo
So very, very beautiful.
yes, a friendly smile and high-five does wonders for the spirit.
If SARK is a human sunflower, maybe you are a high five. Yes, there is something superheroic about a high five.
High Five Baby!
oh man, how adorable. He seems so lovely.
I think it’s always nice to have people around who can simplify things for us. We get so caught up in all of our “stuff” that it is hard to get out of it sometimes. It’s amazing how sometimes a hug and a high-five can make the world of difference.
I love Michael’s basic and “to the point” philosophy….sometimes keeping it simple is the best medicine. (that,… and hugs and high fives) 🙂
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your honesty and stories, and enlightening us with the various amazing people you know and have discovered. It brings so much joy and hope into my life. Thank you Andrea for living bravely and sharing it with us all.
