Hi Andrea-
How did you learn to be such a stunning photographer? Any tips or links or book recommendations on how to take better photos would be appreciated.
I have never commented on your site before – but i check it weekly for inspiration. i met you in 1998 at a SARK gathering in Santa Barbara at Earthling Bookshop. You are so very cool!
Thank you for being,

Andrea, you always seem to find the most perfect quotes to accompany your photography. Inspired.
I do not mind saying that your photography (and this site) is the main reason that I have bought and am using a newer, better camera and that I feel that I have finally FOUND something that feeds my soul.
Milles merci

this is beautiful, perfect and fitting.
(and sort of resembles a tender bean) 😉
Andrea,
I can’t tell you how many times now I have come to your blog and gotten exactly what I most needed at that moment without knowing I needed it. This quote is magnificently beautiful, and I hope you are having the treasure of living its truth day in day out.
I love how the red is just poking through the green and it seems so big inside the bud… so full of itself and ready to burst out.
beautiful.
so perfect in every way.
love this budding vagina-esque photo!!! how incredible is nature? this is rather o’keefish. genius, brilliant. you. xoxoxo
Good to repeat to oneself. . . even if it’s so hard to wait for that light!
Amazing photo.
What a great photo! I was in our garden weeding by the poppies last year when a cleap “pop!” startled me. I looked up to see the husk of the poppy bud discarded on the ground and the poppy itself unfurling its glorious petals. It was all wrinkled – like a hastily-packed silk dress being pulled from a suitcase. As I watched, It opened to the sun and the wrinkles faded.
I never knew poppies made a popping sound like that. Perhaps that’s why they’re called poppies.

Great Photo and Quote!
Jenn
wonderful match of the poetry and photos.
Love the light and color
Thank you…for the gentle reminder. In awareness of beauty and grace, K.
wow. that quote speaks to me. i was having the worst month of teaching until last week. i used to think that i was a great teacher but, week after week, my classes were going so bad this month. i kept wanting to quit and even almost did it but i kept telling myself that i am only a bad teacher if i don’t go back. i am only a bad teacher if i don’t try something each class to make the situation better. last week, the class went great. i barely understand why but it felt exactly like that quote.
