Friday Five asks five questions each Friday for people to answer on their web log.
I would love to hear your answers as well!
1. How many times have you truly been in love?
Twice? Gosh, this is a hard one.
I’ve been in love several times, but I have one true love, and his name is Matt.
2. What was/is so great about the person you love(d) the most?
He is the Giggler, and I giggle.
3. What qualities should a significant other have?
The ability to burst your heart wide open with love, laugh til you pee your pants, and feel truly safe all the while.
4. Have you ever broken someone’s heart?
oh, yes. But never on purpose.
5. If there was one thing you could teach people about love, what would it be?
When I was going through a hard breakup many years ago, my mom told me something I never forgot. She said, “You know honey, when you find the right one, it just won’t be this complicated or hard or dramatic. It will just be right, and you will know it.”
I’ve found this to be so true.
Your turn!
And for those of you more visually inclined, here’s another Friday challenge.
A weekly photo challenge can be found here.
Thank you Andrea. I believe that what your mom said is true. I hope it’s true for me. My last relationship was way too complicated and dramatic. That can’t last and it didn’t. I pray that God knows what I desire in my heart and brings it to me just like with you! 🙂
Congratulations again!
1. How many times have you truly been in love?
TRULY in love once and that is to my husband but I have loved a lot – I’m a lover what can I say:)
2. What was/is so great about the person you love(d) the most?
His sence of humor, his eyes, his face when he wakes up, the quirky things he says…I could go on.
3. What qualities should a significant other have?
Humor, trust, compassion, spontaneity!!!
4. Have you ever broken someone’s heart?
Yes, but I wish I hadn’t.

5. be true to yourself. always.
1. How many times have you truly been in love?
IN love? Like rest of your lifetime love? Twice.
In love? Like you love the other person? Many times.
2. What was/is so great about the person you love(d) the most?
A terrific sense of humor.
3. What qualities should a significant other have?
Patience and kindness.
4. Have you ever broken someone’s heart?
I don’t know. I don’t think so. I’ve hurt people, definitely, but I don’t think I’ve broken anyone’s heart.
5. If there was one thing you could teach people about love, what would it be?
Don’t define yourself by who you love. Specifically, don’t let your self image become so wrapped up in the idea or reality of being in a relationship that without a relationship you feel you’re nothing. This is self destructive and just plain stupid. You are so much more than who you are or aren’t with.
1. How many times have you truly been in love?
Twice. Both loves are unobtainable, and I’m cool with that.
2. What was/is so great about the person you love(d) the most?
Love A) She has a huge capacity for uninhibited joy.
Love B) He is the most tender and vulnerable man I have ever met.
3. What qualities should a significant other have?
Trusting and trustworthy. Selflessness and sense of self. Open, joyful, unafraid.
4. Have you ever broken someone’s heart?
Yes, but I never intend to.
5. If there was one thing you could teach people about love, what would it be?
I’ll quote George Clinton here: “If it don’t fit, don’t force it.”
