My angel friend Michael has a home page now!
To see more of Michael’s art, you can visit Creativity Explored.
Creativity Explored of San Francisco is a nonprofit visual arts center for people with developmental disabilities. A few years ago, I wrote an article for the SF Chronicle about my adventures in volunteering at this amazing place. You can find it here.
Sometimes just giving the gift of time to someone, is more precious and rewarding than anything else in our seemingly trivial lives…don’t you think?!
—and if you can inspire creativity in someone, as an artist…in a way, they become your canvas.
WOW!!! Andrea thank you for sharing about Michael. I checked out his homepage, and the beauty and simplicity of his words took my breath away!! How lucky are you to have such an amazingly wise friend?? How lucky is he that you are in this life?? Michael is more proof that angels come in all forms. Thanks again for sharing….
I love to meet angels, and you’re right – Michael really is.
Creativity Explored sounds to be the most wonderful place. I saw a truly exuberant integrated Samba band along the same lines at a festival this weekend and they made me tap my feet and grin and almost cry, all at the same time!
Thanks for sharing all these fabulous adventures – I’m loving this blog.
The artwork done by these people is fantastic! I’ve already made a wishlist!
If only everyone could see the world through Michael’s eyes…the world would be a beautiful place. Angel…he is.
