I was passing by a warehouse last week on Bryant and was taken in by all the street signs inside. A man noticed me peeking in, asked if I needed help, and I bravely requested a tour. It was so cool! {and it turns out he was very flattered to have been asked} Behind the scenes of the guys who make all the signage in San Francisco. An odd little adventure in my day…
Note on Feria Urbana: I will no longer be doing my show at Feria Urbana tomorrow afternoon December 17th! Sadly, I had to cancel…
this is fantastic! did you find your street? seeing a purdy girl like you probably made their Christmas!! xxoo
andrea,
i love this story…. when i lived in phoenix i always hoped i’d find a big open warehouse full of street signs so i could find just one sign i liked and take it home with me.

That must have been a great experience.
I am amazed at how well organized they are… I work for the town awhile back and our town barn wasn’t even close to looking that nice! :0)

This is even better than the place where fortune cookies are born. Great photos, too.
this is my favorite kind of day..when serendipity brings you to rabbit hole…I’m glad you had the courage & the spirit to wander in..

Oddly enough, I was just thinking today of all the great little adventures that are just so close to where we live. Kind of fun to find one and take advantage of it!! Way to go girl!
That is so cool. I love signs.
There is something always wonderful about what happens when one goes exploring with their camera. The adventures never seem to stop. People are generally honored to usually have their pictures taken.
Those sign pix are amazing!
omg that’s SO awesome. i’ve always wondered who made these signs and where. bravery takes us to such wonderful, unexpected places, doesn’t it?
