“Nobody sees a flower – really –
it is so small it takes time –
we haven’t time –
and to see takes time,
like to have a friend takes time.”

I have a new found love of peony’s…my friend grows some in her garden and gave me a bunch to take home to grace my dining room table, i just love how delicious they smell 🙂

hi there andrea. about your previous post. i know of a book that i consider my baby bible. it helped me understand my baby’s sensory world when in the womb and what it was like to leave the warm, watery protection of my belly. it taught me how to make it easier for her to slowly “accept” this new world she’s to live in. mischa is such a contented, happy baby. i hope you can find it in stores in the US, or maybe you could order it online. the books name is “baby sense” by megan faure and ann richardson. it’s a treasure, ENJOY!

i love this quote…especially because i just paid my first visit to the O’Keeffe museum in Santa Fe this past weekend. it was incredible.

I like that little things take time. I suppose seeing the little things in our friends is what makes friendships grow – it can be so easy to be on auto pilot, chatting away but not really looking, not really listening to those tiny little things. (I love peonies too by the way!).

    This is a beautiful picture.
I want to go at once to the gardens here and sniff around at beautiful flowers.
    Thank you.

oooooohhhhhhhhhhh I’m right there with you! I’ve been a bit obsessed with peony’s this season. There was a perfict pair in Bryant Park, and I kept walking over on my lunch hour to visit them. In fact, I was thinking of scowering the superhero site to see if you had any pictures of them.
    How perfictly magical!!
And the magic drifts back in…..
    Yay!

It would be wonderful, to sit for days, and watch the flower from bud to exposing seed pods. I could and would love to do that, watch every second. Of the beautiful life span.

Beautiful peony–when I got home from Africa a few days ago (after being gone a month), my mom filled my condo with big, bright peonies from her garden (they were this color pink, as well as white and dark fuschia). What a wonderful welcome home gift.
Thanks for the photo, and congratulations on “your lovely lady lump”. I was so happy to come home, log on, and hear your exciting news. What a blessing.

My first visit was an accident a “wrong turn” if you will, looking for superman facts to settle aguments. i got caught up in the images and waves of color.. vitaime water and dead sofa’s lying face up in the sun on concrete sidewalks were what kept me going… Now more than a year later (searching for superman facts once again) i phind petels, phlowers and peonies, along with the soon to be pitter patter of little pheet.
WOW! what a difference time makes.
and as for what to savor….”wrong turns” always.

I’ve been reading for several months now, but I recently moved to a resort in Nevada where there was no internet connection. I am so happy to hear that you are pregnant. I know it’s been a struggle, and you’ve been very open in your journal. Congratulations!!!
