erfect, Brooklyn, NY, photo by Matthea Harvey
I got the above photo and this email from my friend Matthea Harvey today… It was, in a word, erfect.
“I came across this sign in Brooklyn, walking home one day, and since then, have been striving for “erfect” instead of “perfect.”
_wesome!
this made my insides laugh!
Love it. Truly “erfect.”
This is great!
you were in my dream last night – i was dashing across a NYC street and you and kelly rae were walking in the other direction. we all waved and i continued to run to wherever it was i was going. love that your post today has NYC elements. xo

erfect is totally something i groove with!
this is so in line with how i’ve been feeling lately. it couldn’t be more erfect. thank you.
Love this!
Absolutely erfectly wonderful.
When I saw this I was thunderstruck by it…I turned fifty-nine today and can’t quite believe sixty will be here before I know it. I stared at this photo for the longest time. I have been a perfectionist my whole life, and have driven myself nearly crazy in so doing…and lost so much time in the attempt. After seeing this it came to me that “perfect” is an illusion, and that we all need to just do the best that we can do, breathe, and be kind to ourselves. So, going forward, I’ll set my sights on being “erfect.”. Thanks for this post, and all the best to you and yours.
I have to tell you that I squealed when I saw this photo. In May, I stayed at the hotel across the street from this sign and took many photos of it. It’s such a great reminder that none of us are perfect, but we’re all pretty “erfect”!
