In celebration of Brene Brown’s AMAZING new book, The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You’re Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are we are staging a week long “Perfect Protest.” Add your photo to the collection… Say it loud and proud people!

And be sure to get Brene’s book. It is a life-changer for sure. Deep, real and extraordinary. I love the book and Brene Brown. If you are in the SF Bay area this week, come to her event at Ft. Mason on Thursday night. I will be there!

Hi, I’m Andrea

On this blog you’ll be learning with me how to use our voices, share our creative superpowers and live life in full color.

As an artist, photographer, life coach + mentor, I’m redefining what it means to be a SUPERHERO — ‘cause in my world, it’s got nothing to do with capes, spandex or sidekicks and everything to do with tenderness, intuition & baby steps of bravery.

great recommendation – I’m having it sent to my kindle right….now!

Andrea, if you were striving for perfection, your blog would be boring and un-inspirational. It’s the opposite of both of those, and I’m so happy for that. Thank you for continuing to share your un-perfect, challenging, fun life with us.

I love that it’s called “The GIFTS of Imperfection…” That’s such a great way to think about it. I’d love to read both of her books. Thanks for the recommendation!

Thanks for the recommend! There’s a song on the Disney Channel from The Happy Monster Band that goes “practice makes progress”. I use this line often with my 4-year old and I love that they’re not singing “practice makes perfect”.
