loving my new little camera*

Ben and Andrea, Canon PowerShot S95

There’s nothing like a new camera to inspire the shutterbug in me! I’ve been shooting nonstop since I got this awesome little number. I love point and shoots because I capture completely different things than I do with my bigger camera. I’m less precious and more playful, and of course it’s hard to lug a big camera around these days. Loving my new little view of the world.

Here are some scenes from this week:

cow, Little Farm, Berkeley, CA, Canon PowerShot S95
blurry berries, Canon PowerShot S95
Andrea, Matt and Nico at Totland, Canon PowerShot S95
Nico, 3 weeks, Canon PowerShot S95
manhole and boot, Berkeley, CA , Canon PowerShot S95
wire fence, Inspiration Point, Canon PowerShot S95
resevoir, Inspiration Point, Canon PowerShot S95

Hi, I’m Andrea

On this blog you’ll be learning with me how to use our voices, share our creative superpowers and live life in full color.

As an artist, photographer, life coach + mentor, I’m redefining what it means to be a SUPERHERO — ‘cause in my world, it’s got nothing to do with capes, spandex or sidekicks and everything to do with tenderness, intuition & baby steps of bravery.

  1. Catherine

The one photo I love the most is the one with you and your husband at the park and the tiny little one held close to you. You look so great Andrea! So happy to see more photos of you and your life.

  2. Robyn

You know, I think that every photographer needs a point & shoot as well. I certainly don’t take my DSLR everywhere with me, and sometimes with my toddlers it’s just not feasible. Can’t stick a DSLR in your pocket… I also have a tiny Canon that I carry in my purse. They’re fun to play with.
Nico is so cute. Ben is handsome.
I’m still kickin’ back here… 36 weeks pregnant & done.
Ben’s hat is cute. Hand knit? You don’t knit as well, do you?

  3. Jennifer

I have been wanting to get a new little point and shoot and now you are just making me want one even more 🙂 So wonderful seeing these shots of your family. Hope all is well. Sending you love.

  4. pixiemama

  5. michelle

What great shots with the little camera! Love to see the whole little brood out and about having fun!

  6. natalie

    Love the photos!
I’ve been ‘eyeing’ your red boots for years. They look a bit like Naots to me, but I can’t find them.
Do you mind sharing the make of the boots?
My motto in life is: wear red shoes!

  7. stacy

    so so beautiful.

  8. Amelia from Flux Capacitating

You’re all looking so lovely! I’m right there with everyone else, love those red boots 🙂

  9. Megan

Ben in that orange country western rocker shirt is killing me. My ovaries are clenching. Gah!!!

  10. claire

Andrea, you look amazing – so refreshed! Ben is as gorgeous as ever and little Nico is his spitting image, no?
    Congratulations to you all!

Great site! But I’m having some trouble trying to read your blog. I have read it many times before and never gotten something like this, but now when I try to load something it just takes a little while (5-10 minutes ) and then just stops. I hope i don’t have a virus or something. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
