SARK visit*

SARK and Nico, Canon PowerShot S95

Had my first few hours away from the baby last weekend when I went to be in the studio audience of my favorite radio show, West Coast Live. (If you are ever in the bay area on a Saturday morning, I highly recommend going!)

It was such a thrill… Not only did I get to see my dear friend SARK talking about her new book, but we were graced with Coleman Barks, Judy Chicago, Armistead Maupin and more… The show was magical. If you want to give a listen, you can listen to the show here. (I should also mention that I wrote an essay for SARK’s new book, Glad No Matter What: Transforming Loss and Change into Gift and Opportunity I am so honored to be a part of this beautiful book!)

One of the best things happening these days is the steady stream of visitors bringing over food, holding Nico and just generally blessing us. I am savoring each and every bit of company.

Andrea, my sister-in-law is going to have a baby in the spring, and I really want to make sure they have plenty of food from other people. Do you have any suggestions of things you have really enjoyed?
I know when there was a death in my family, a lot of people made us pasta dishes…(we got a little sick of pasta)

Hey, I am checking this blog using the phone and this appears to be kind of odd. Thought you’d wish to know. This is a great write-up nevertheless, did not mess that up.
