I’ve decided to do a photo series this week of my neighborhood: The Mission District in San Francisco.
The Mission is a colorful neighborhood chock full of bookstores, incredible taquerias, hipsters in funky clothes, murals lining the walls of alleys, Mexican bakeries, and restaurants with food from all over the world.
I’m happy to offer up a little window into my favorite neighborhood in SF.
Ooohh…I’m excited to see what this week will bring!!! 🙂
This is a great idea! Although I worry that it will make me want to break the piggy bank and go see for myself…
andrea,
sounds wonderful. i can’t wait to see what comes….

Given that SF is on my list of places to visit within the next couple of years, I think this is a great idea. Looking forward to a few snapshots of your life in SJ.

nice! looking forward to see your ‘hood through your eyes! ^_^
sounds fab! can’t wait to see the results.
and i am filled with immense jealousy… 🙂
Your neighborhood is much more colorful than mine, which is pretty much a symphony of beige brick. Looking forward to seeing more. Makes me miss SF.
Would be good if (somehow) everyone that reads this journal could do this … I think it’d be fascinating to see where everyone lives.
I’m looking forward to it. I enjoyed the Mission when I visited San Fran in 1997.
I love this idea! It is wonderful to see new places through the eyes of someone else…
Thanks for some great shots of my old ‘hood (20th & South Van Ness)! It brings back memories of huevos rancheros, and other goodies that I can’t eat here in Paris…though of course we have other egg dishes!
