“My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither, but just enjoy your ice cream while it’s on your plate. That’s my philosophy.”
– Thornton Wilder

Hi, I’m Andrea

On this blog you’ll be learning with me how to use our voices, share our creative superpowers and live life in full color.

As an artist, photographer, life coach + mentor, I’m redefining what it means to be a SUPERHERO — ‘cause in my world, it’s got nothing to do with capes, spandex or sidekicks and everything to do with tenderness, intuition & baby steps of bravery.

what a great photo Andrea…Rebecca looks happy. I love the way you photograph people. Often I look at portraits and I wonder who is this person, what are they like? You seem to have this great gift of capturing who people really are. So many times I see your portraits and I think Yes, that’s so in so… as if I know them. I love the personal feeling I get when viewing your work.
    Thanks for sharing.

First I thought, how sad, no Superhero blog for a few days. Then I realized, hey! I’m going away too, I’ll be at a lake in Maine. Who cares about the internet 🙂
I’m even going to try taking some pictures. I’ve always wanted to do it, and never quite figured it all out (though i’m very visual otherwise) buy your pictures are inspiring!

That quote is the essence of what life should be…

Love your blog. Lots of great thoughts and beautiful photos. thx

I’ve been inspired/relieved/comforted by your recent posts…then came to this one, which sounded familiar to me. After a little reflection, I realized, “Oh my goodness – that was my line!!” I played the role of Sabina in Wilder’s “The Skin of Our Teeth” in 2000 – the play this quotation comes from. I must have said that line 25 times in rehearsals alone, and at the time, I owned it. This post is a perfect reminder that truly the answers are inside of us and our experiences; sometimes I need the reflections and reminders of others to reacquaint myself with that lurking, stifled wisdom (even if I did first borrow the wisdom from Mr. Wilder himself!).
I really appreciate all that you share – thank you. -N

What a lovely quote! You always have the best quotes — where do you find them all, girly???
Have a great time at the wedding!

great quote and lovely picture, she looks so happy and stands out in her brightness against the dark clouds with a whiteness surrounding her. Does she glow or is that a light trick? 😉
