Hi, I’m Andrea

On this blog you’ll be learning with me how to use our voices, share our creative superpowers and live life in full color.

As an artist, photographer, life coach + mentor, I’m redefining what it means to be a SUPERHERO — ‘cause in my world, it’s got nothing to do with capes, spandex or sidekicks and everything to do with tenderness, intuition & baby steps of bravery.

there i am jumping on my bed. That’s really funny. I love how we took all these photos and I chose the ones where I look dark and serious and sexy, and you chose this one, where I look young and free and silly. Thank you for reminding me that I’m not who I think I am all the time. I can look at this photo and I can say, “who’s that girl?”

A – This is not appropros of this post, but I just had to tell you… I was just at a training for work. I stopped at home quickly after work before heading to the training and grabbed a random spiral notebook since I’d forgotten to bring one from work. At the end of the training as I began gathering up my things, an envelope began to slip out of the back of the notebook. I saw this lovely handwriting on the back flap…and realized it was from YOU! It was my “What I did during the summer of 2005 that made me a better, smarter, happier person” letter…ha! I must have tucked it inside the notebook when you sent it back to me a year ago. Wow, I had some fun, sweet dreams…too bad I didn’t do more of them…ha! Maybe I should tuck it somewhere new and wait for it to show up next year…it could be my Lazarus letter…resurrecting itself annually to remind me of my dreams. 😉 xoxo

    Another post appropos of nothing…
I’ve been having a hard time at work, and I was thinking, hum, I’ll check out Andrea’s site for some inspiration. And then I realized, this blog has seen me through many a tough job and many a really hard moment (many job realated, some health realated) and that consistancy itsself is helpful. Because the moments do get brighter. It’s been kind of a long trek… me and you and this blog, or it feels like it. I was in quite a diffrent place in my life in April 2003 when I first tuned in.
And also, I know I say this periodically, but the time seems right again – there are posts of yours that I think about on a almost weekly basis, years after the fact. I read my Anne Lamott, and I ponder my superhero posts when times get tough.
    So that is something.
Now I’m off to Europe for my first ever trip, which is also something. Perhaps I’ll find a bit of magic there.

Oh how I wish I lived closer. This trunk show sounds amazing, and fun. I am in New Jersey and San Francisco seems so magical. My friend just moved there and I cannot wait to visit. Enjoy your show!

That sounds so fun. I wish I could come!

one of my best friends here in Little Rock is an indy designer. we have the best times at those shows, sashaying down the runway (sidewalk), swilling champagne, being superhero-supermodels.
not once however, has anyone thought of a bonfire.
    !
sounds like a blast. wish i could pop by. power to the people arts.
