This is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken. If you come across a Polaroid Land Camera at a flea market, buy it! They usually still work and take 3000 speed film (which you can still find easily) Instant vintage charm!

In keeping with the childhood beliefs theme, I want to share my dear friend Jen’s new blog. This entry is especially beautiful, on the subject of childhood beliefs and fear. Her photography will delight you. Her spirit will move you. Visit her often and you will fall in love.
Another great finding from you, thanks 🙂
What “gems” your friend Jen’s words are…thanks for sharing yet another inspiring site.
I love the photo. Brilliant as usual!
Totally awesome photo! I need to go to flea markets!!!
Jen’s entry was so moving. I thought immediately of the most beautiful song by Amanda McBroom when I read it. It’s called ‘No Fear’ and it starts off like this:’I’m not afraid of spiders. I’m not afraid of snakes. Or things that go bump in the night. I don’t believe in monsters under the bed. I leave my closet open when I turn out the light. I’ve made my peace with darkened hallways, scary movies, men who mutter when you walk by….’
She goes on in her poetic and witty way, talking about all the things we do to take care of our fears, and suddenly it hits you at the end, when the words go…’the only thing I fear, some day, some night, some year, the only thing I fear… is losing you.’ It’s a devastating and magnificent song.
Thank you, Andrea, for such an inspiring, warm and inspirational site.
