“I am so small. How can this great love be inside of me?”
– Rumi
The judges have made their selections! (Thank you Matt Passmore, SARK, Maya Stein and Laurie Wagner.)
There were so many wonderful crush stories, we had a terrible time choosing only three winners. We were crushed out on so many of them! Thank you to everyone who entered.
Our favorites (in no particular order) were:
“Sending Signals” by Tony
“Mr. Walker” by Lisa Myers
“Lost and Found in the Negev” by Alexandra Saperstein-Galyuk
You can read them here
May your day be full of love in whatever form that takes.

Those are some complicated crush stories. They are bittersweet as most crushes are.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you too, Andrea. I adored the wonderful stories of the “crush contest” winners. Congrats to all!! Each of the stories gave me chills, and yet, made me feel warm and fuzzy at the same time. The hallmark of a great love/life story…..:)
WOW!!! How cool were these stories! and, what a good idea having this contest. I really enjoyed reading all three as I checked in on your blog like I do every morning as I sip my first cup of coffee.

Andrea~ I always love your journal entries and photos. Thank you. 🙂
And just in case ALEXANDRA reads this… hello from a long-lost postcard fairy! I don’t know if you remember, but we used to send cards back and forth across the ocean~ my PcF name was pookie, and I live in Bloomington, IN. Actually, I’m moving to Minnesota this summer to be with my sister and her new baby, and to go to grad school! In any case, it was *amazing* to read your story, knowing your name was familiar, and piecing it back together. What an incredible life!
