The Beckoning of Lovely: One year Later 9/09/09

As I prepare for our first day of the October session of Mondo Beyondo, I am excitedly buzzing around my office and calling Jen Lemen every five minutes with new ideas and details.

The video above was a perfect pause in my day. I am a big fan of Amy Krouse Rosenthal and even got to meet her a couple of times this year. If you didn’t see the first Beckoning of Lovely video, I recommend you watch that one too!

Hi, I’m Andrea

On this blog you’ll be learning with me how to use our voices, share our creative superpowers and live life in full color.

As an artist, photographer, life coach + mentor, I’m redefining what it means to be a SUPERHERO — ‘cause in my world, it’s got nothing to do with capes, spandex or sidekicks and everything to do with tenderness, intuition & baby steps of bravery.

Yep, I pretty much cried through the last half of this. What a great reminder that a generous spirit can change the world.

I loved the first one and I love the second. This one made me think about this space I’m in right now. Lately I have recognized that I need and want to just get out there and do amazing, creative, wonderful things without waiting for someone else to invite me or without waiting for the person in charge (whoever they are) to FIND me. Something clicked recently and I woke up a little, understanding that I’ve been doing a lot of waiting (even when I have been moving, too).

I awoke this morning with sadness in my heart. Struggling with how to not let the frustration and anger of someone I love break me and my gentle heart. This clip renewed my spirit with a knowing that there are lovely souls spreading the joy. Thank you!

I love this woman. She’s crazy cool. Her Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life further solidified my notion that life is equal parts dynamically multi-layered and perfectly simple. I adore her wit and creative innovations.
Thank you for sharing another piece of wonder…
